  • What to use after using APC in my interiors

Hi folks, I would like to solicit some suggestions regarding what to use after I'm done detailing with my interior using APC. So far, I am quite happy with the results of APC since it gives a nice satin look on my gray interior- well my only problem was that the black trims tends to look 'dried' out after being immersed with APC.

Suggestions please. I already bought ASD for my black trims but I plan to use as little ASD as possible to match the satin look of the mostly gray interior.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, APC is a cleaner only. It wont protect the surface, and you should follow it up with some sort of dressing.

You would probably prefer the look of Natural Shine for your interior, or #40.

Thanks Murr. Will ASD work too?

With any dressing product, I like to apply, then let sit for 5 minutes or so, then wipe off excess with a dry towel.

But the ASD could still be quite shiny, and have a greasy feel after that.

awww. I guess, ASD will be out of the question. It will be #40 then. I'll be getting that when I drop by my meg's dealer.

Anyway, I noticed that after sometime when I used APC, it has the shiny look but not as shiny though, just enough shine but attracts dust and dirt. Is this normal?

Could be some residue left behind perhaps. I have not left only APC on my interior, always dressed, so cant say exactly.

Other items I have used APC on seem pretty even after use, nothing that specifically attracts dust.

You could always finish off with Quik Interior Detailer. It will leave a more natural and matte look.

i use apc to clean and have great success with it. Some customers dont like dressings on their interior so i make it an option

I don't think the APC itself is attracting dust or dirt... it's likely normal accumulation that is naturally occurring. APC doesn't really leave anything behind that would attract anything.

I think you made a great choice going with #40 for the interior. I like it a lot.

I agree, use APC on my white rubber shoes and it was great. as for the shiny surface (interiors), perhaps it was the humidity in the Philippines that might be the culprit.

I find the M40 gives me just enough gloss to make the dash look "fresh" but still natural. The scent it leaves behind is also quite nice.

One thing I suggest when using it on the dash is to spray it on a towel or other type applicator and wipe the dash rather than spraying it direct on the dash. I say this because every time I've tried to spray direct on the dash, I've ended up with a bit of overspray on the windshield and it's a pain to clean up.
