What oder do I use these & wheels/claybar question

Sorry for another newbie post but there are a few individual questions I need a direct answer for instead of bumping in on others.

Here are some new Meguiars products I have purchased:

NXT Wash
Final Inspection #34 & Quick Detailer
Pro Overspray Claybar
Swil Remover #9
Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
NXT Wax

I own a 2001 Silver/Grey Colored Jeep Cherokee going on 57000 miles. I had to commute to work over summer and subjected my vehicle to a 4 mile dirt road everyday that some evil folks decided to black oil mid summer. (The kind that gets into your fenders and makes that horrrible crackling noise) As a result I have some permanent stains on my fenders and spots on 2 wheels. Im pretty sure the claybar will work but just checking what else might work?

In what order should I use these products and are all of these what I need..? Also, I am not seeing a 'sticky' thread on applying everything.

I am mainly concerned with how to Spread these cleaners, polishers and wax.

I know about lubing the **** out of claybar, not to drop it, and alot of other common sence details but how should I rub it around? How do I rub all these products in? This is pretty much common sence to you guys as well but im really new to this. I have been thouroughly washing and waxing with gold class every month since I owned my Jeep, but just recently I dived into pro detailing and really cleaning the paint up ever since I saw some results of NXT on a friends ride.

Im sorry im so new. I read almost everything here and over at Autopia and I just need some help. I have found out a bit more since I posted this but im still wondering........best way to smear claybar around.

Still wondering best way to apply #9, DC Paint Cleaner and NXT Wax.

Im afraid im applying and removing this all wrong. I have been doing circular motions for everything I put on and when removing the product.

I have %100 Premium Terry cloths, MF cloths, and Meguiars Foam pads. I understand that I need to use thin coats for waxing and that I can remove a majority of the build-up with terry cloth, and then follow up with a MF cloth.

Just need some quick answers on best way to apply these and remove them. Hahaha sorry for this dumb post but I don't know If I should use the back and fourth method(what's that mean??!) or circular on these. Thanks!

If you're doing this by hand then I would use circular motions.
(Some apply wax in straight lines)

What kind of applicator are you using?...I used to use small terry rags years ago until I tried Meguiar's foam applicator pads.

The foam pads will spread the product much better (Course, terry pads will have more bite when cleaning stubborn areas), IMO...Especially the #9 & NXT wax.

If you really want to do a better job, then buy yourself an orbital polisher or a PC. I think that either one is better than hand application alone, but the PC is tops of the two machines.

I use my PC on the 5 setting when using Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner with the W-7006 red cutting pad and I get great results...But if the paint is in good shape to begin with, then a polishing pad such as the W-8006 will work ok.

I am new to clay, so I can't help you there.

WD-40 should remove the tar & oil stains without damaging the paint....But I would remove the WD-40 with a quick detailer of some type after you wipe the residue off.

Thanks! That's all great info I just wanted to be sure about. Hopefully someone will post a link or info about spreading a claybar when applying.

Yea im doing this all by hand. I bought lots of Yellow Gold Class Meguiars foam pads. That's what I usually used to apply wax so apparently I will do same for cleaners and polishers right?

So you suggest to keep using circular motion for all these? Same with removing them with combo of terry and MF cloths?

Here is some of the things I have found using some of these products....

Deep Crystal Cleaner: I think this is very easy to use applies easy and removes easy. You do not need to let this product dry. Works quite well. I apply this with a PC.

Swirl Remover #9 2.0: I used this the first time a few weeks ago and it takes a little playing around. You don't want to let it dry completely or its difficult to remove yet you want to work it in enough so it does its job. I have found it can de difficult to remove once it dries so as the bottle says work in a small area. I apply this with a PC.

NXT Wax: Great and VERY easy to use product. Follow the directions on the bottle and you will have no problems. I always apply a second coat 12-24 hours after the first this seems to add some depth. I apply this with a PC.

Pro Overspray Clay bar.... I have never used this clay but I have used the Quick clay and with quick clay you want to use plenty of #34 or Quick Detailer (like you said) to lubricate the surface and prevent the clay from searing on the paint. I have also heard others use some car wash soap and water in a spray bottle. I have found moving the clay back and forth works quite well not sure if this is the proper way but seemed to work best for me.

Quick Detailer: Easy as 1 - 2 - 3.... 1. Mist on, 2. Wipe around, 3. Trun towel over and wipe dry. I have never used #34 but it works the same.

NXT Wash: I have never used this but if its anything like Gold Class Soap its a winner!

Check some of Meguiars online car care videos they are very helpful... The "Automotive Appearance Care Clinic" is a very good tells you all the steps to prep for waxing.

I like to add a polishing step to my car like Deep Crystal Polish or Meguiars Hand Polish to really bring out the shine before waxing. I think the #9 does some polishing by its self but a dedicated polish after the #9 gives better results in my opinion.

I would use the foam pads for cleaning, polishing & waxing...But if the paint isn't cleaning up well, then a terry pad would give the cleaner more bite.

I prefer using circular motions myself...I would so the same with the towels, but try to skip the terry towels when removing wax...The MF towel does a real good job of removing wax by itself.

Some like to remove wax in straight lines (Front to back), so that is a matter of preference.

Be sure to flip your towels over often...I like to shake out the terrys a few times every now & then.
