Sounds like a good plan to me. I usually use a foam-tipped detailing tool, spread it on there, and then come back with a towel and wipe off the excess and even it out.

mark has it basically down perfectly..spray your product onto a brush and apply it that way..then come back and clean up excess and even things out..

by the way, a ton of products will work on this..

      M40
      HD
      WBD
      ASD

      too many to name..

You might find one of these two products to be a bit easier and quicker:

I could not imagine doing a grill like that by hand as it would take forever to do and cover fully!

I suggest using Exterior Aerosol Trim Detailer which I have found works very well in situations such as yours. The cans have an adjustable spray pattern making it easier to into the tighter curves...

Problem is, I am not sure where you will be able to find it as I believe it was discontinued. However, another one as Ciera mentioned is the Accent Dressing.

If you can not find either of these, then try No Touch Tire Spray (high gloss in the red can) as it too works very well!

I found Aerosol Trim Detailer at Pep Boys. Since you live in Guatemala, I'm not sure who might carry it. Good luck!
