  • Marred windshield

    Hello all,
The windshield on my wife's Windstar is marred where the wipers travel, will Plastx remove the marring or will I need a stronger product?

    Thanks,
    Lee

    Hey,

From my experience, Meguiar's PlastX will not remove marring from a windshield.

Have you tried claying the glass to see if it has bonded contaminents on it?

The Eastwood Company does make a kit to help remove marring from glass. If you do a Google search, I am sure you will find the kit I am referring to.

    Cheers!

      Check out this thread,

      Windshield Scratches

Here's my post from that thread,

The only product out on the market that I know for removing light scratches in glass is made by the Eastwood company.

Glass Polishing Kit at the Eastwood company

      Hope this helps...

If you end up purchasing and using this product, perhaps you can take some before and after pictures and share your experience/results with our forum as this topic comes up from time to time.

            Mike,
I had those same thoughts myself, I will probably take a swipe at this after the holidays.

You may want to look at www.janvil.com they have a "Glass Renew Kit" for 30 bucks. If you are timid about using a machine to polish your window, this may be the way to go since the work is done by hand.
