    Re: Tire Dressing Question

    Will do! Thanks!

And to clean these tire swipes, just rinse with water?

Since I'm already asking the question, how would you wash foam applicator pads? Just rinse with water and squeeze out product?

im not really sure how to clean the foam applicator pads...but for the swipes, there really is no need to clean them provided you dedicate that swipe to just endurance, and provided you cleaned your tire and there is no greese, brake dust, etc..on the tire, then when you apply the gel, the swipe pad will not get dirty..only damp with product

hmmm...clean the tire with a tire cleaner product or just car wash soap and scrub them down? I didn't getta chance to do anything to the tires as I was running outta daylight, so I skipped the tires/wheels and washed the car instead.

car wash soap is an excellent choice for cleaning the tires...however sometimes contaminents are so caked on to the tires that you may need something stronger like All purpose cleaner...and if you had dressing on the tires before..then its deffinetly going to take more than just soapy water to clean it..basically your going to want to get the tires back to their bare and naked state...get them to look that ugly gray natural color..you want to use a strong enough product and a hard bristled brush to scrub them down good

Will all purpose cleaner stain the driveway? Sorry, I recently stained my driveway last month and can't get it off for some reason... my mom's not too happy about it, that's why I'm a little anal about the staining driveway thing.. lol I had some tire shine laying around so I tried it..little did I know what the overspray was going to do to the driveway..

all purpose cleaner stain the driveway ? noooooo not at all..rinses away nice and clean..if anything it will clean your driveway ! lol but yeah when you apply ANY tire dressing to your tires with an applicator pad, you will never get any stains on your driveway..even the liquid hot shine in the sprayer bottle...what i do is spray it on to my pad and then apply to the tire..i used to stain my driveway..not anymore

Just stain the whole driveway to match.... Really only shows up in the rain anyway.

And yeah, I use APC every wash on the tires.

                    Re: Tire Dressing Question

I've tried applicator applications in the past, and in order to cover the outer tire indentations, any product I used turned into a bubbly and runny mess. How in the world do you get complete coverage? Is ASD thin enough to tap an applicator into these depressions?

ASD is as thin as water...its not a gel type product..its literally as thin as water...once you apply it to the applicator pad you dont even see the product anymore because it soaks into the applicator pad..thats another reason why i love ASD

So back to my question. How do you get complete coverage into the tire indentations?

what do you mean by the indentations ? do you mean where the tread pops out ? and your trying to get in between the tread grooves on the side ? or do you mean inside the letterings on the sidewall ?

sorry i just need better explanation

The perimeter grooving and the deep sidewall tread pattern that most all season tires seem to have.

oh okay i get you now...yes ASD is perfect for this...i know the gel type products can sometimes be a little hard to reach these areas with just an applicator pad...with ASD, that is not the case..when i say its thin as water it really is...the gallon container is actually light because of how thin the product is compared to some other concentrates

These are the deep sidewall grooves I can't get into unless I spray the tire product around the edge of the tire first...
