    Re: Tire Dressing Question

Yesterday, I did our 2 cars. Used All Season Dressing. Sprayed onto the applicator, applied to tire. No mess on the driveway.

Does all season dressing leave a shine to it? (I would like the tires to shine)

All season dressing is my favorite dressing..and i've used every dressing meguiars makes...i have a picture for you..my camera isnt that great but its enough to give you an idea...and also the more coats of ASD you add the more shin you get..but anyway this is two coats of ASD. but it leaves a lot of shine..and it lasts a while..and it just makes the tire have a nice dark and rich black look..

            Re: Tire Dressing Question

All Season Dressing is going to be the best for longevity as well. It has the silicone that gives staying power. It also will "stay" on your driveway for a while if you spray the tire and miss. Hyper Dressing is a non-silicone and won't stain as bad, but also wont last on your tires nearly as long either.

My recommendation, as has already been mentioned, use a tire foam applicator and All Season Dressing.

This is what I use yo...

Adds bling, bling factor to the sidewalls, & works very well on leather & vinyl. When applied to seats, this product doesn't start to blotch 5-10 minutes after application like some other brand(s) do, this product adhers to any seat material well & leaves a beautiful gloss behind.

              No stains on driveway.

              Man...what a difference!!!

yeah thats what you gotta do !! some people like to spray on the tire....im not a fan of this method at all...i put all season dressing into a dispenser bottle..then i apply it to a foam applicator pad just as you would apply the tire gel's to a pad..and then i apply onto the wheel...much cleaner way of application

Nick the Tire Man provided some pics of ASD a few weeks ago. Check out this article.

Thanks for the input everyone! And thanks for the link to that article Akimel, it does look like Hyper Dressing has more shine, but the ASD isn't bad either - and if it lasts longer, I think I may go with that.

I like Endurance gel myself. I apply it to a tire swipe, apply to all four tires, and then go back and wipe off any excess with a dedicated microfiber. Works for me, and lasts a couple weeks on our daily drivers. Lasts a few months on our garaged cars. Here's a couple pics of Endurance.

That looks pretty good, too! Endurance can be bought OTC right?

the stores that i have seen endurance at regularly are autozone, pepboys, and advanced auto parts...they always seem to have them in stock as a regular product

Cool, sounds good. I'll check those places out tomorrow. I washed my car today but didn't have anything to dress the tires -- I'm still new to washing my own car so I'm building my arsenal lol

ah yes, i been there before lol

you'll have a big arsenal soon enough, trust me lol

be sure to pick up a tire swipe applicator..they are a dollar usually for 1 or 2, depending on what the deal is..or pick up any applicator of your choice, tire swipes just happen to be the easiest in my own opinion..and when you use the gel, be sure to apply very little, but not overload the tire..a little REALLY does go along way..one little 16 oz bottle can last you months !
