What product to use to clean my muffler

When ur looking at the back of my car u can see my
muffler and it's dirty what can I use to clean it

Do you mean a chrome tailpipe?
On my chrome tailpipe I have used degreaser to clean, then SwirlX and Wax with good results.

Is it a polished aftermarket unit or just the factory piece that is just sort of a dull finish?

A polished aftermarket muffler can be shined back up pretty easily using Meguiar's Hot Rims Mag & Aluminum Polish. A factory muffler isn't going to be that easy to put a shine to, but it can at least be cleaned with either All Purpose Cleaner and a brush, or even just your car wash soap and a brush. A good way to hide factory mufflers that are just a bit too obvious is to pick up some high heat resistant black spray paint. Clean the area well, then just shoot it with a matte or semi-gloss black. Just makes things look cleaner all around.

I do this once or twice a year.

And then just use the Multi-Piece/Aluminum Wheel wash and a brush for maintaining when I wash.
