Does anybody have any good pics of completely corrected and waxed beige or light gold-colored cars? If so, would you please share your process and LSP of choice as well? I'm looking for pics of cars that are similar to this color:

Heres a 99 Toyota Sienna. This was just a one step correction , I was able to get away with a 85-90% correction with the G110/M80/W8207 combo. LSP was Tech Wax.






















Heres a Volvo I did a while back. Washed, clayed, then used M20 to clean/polish/protect the paint. No correction here.









2007 Volkswagon Passat, M205 on the D.A followed by Tech Wax. I was able to get some pretty good correction here:














I honestly cannot remember the process on this MB Kompressor:

So, do you find that NXT 2.0 seems to be the best choice of LSP for light colored cars such as that beige color? I have used NXT 2.0 on both our 1990 Accord and our 2000 Accord, and it just seems to give a nice crisp look.





Do you have any experience with using M26 on light colored cars? I know it is widely recommended for use on dark colored cars (I've used it on mine a couple times), but do you know if M26 over NXT 2.0 adds anything to a light colored car? Or is there perhaps a different wax or sealant (or combo) that would give that crisp, almost glassy look? Thanks!

For that light beige color I usually end up using NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0, M21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0, or M20 Polymer Sealant as a finishing wax. I like how that beige color tends to look when using NXT or M21 and how the flake pops and just how great and rich the color looks. M20 is used if it is cold out since I have never had M20 streak on me ever and it still seems to give me that flake popping crisp look, also keep in mind M20 is a light cleaner wax with awesome durabilty as well.

I also did a little research and I ended up using M21 on this car:








As for M26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax, I will only use it on black or dark red. I dont like using it on light colored paints, its just not my cup of tea. Another thing I dont really do is top NXT or M21 with anything, I like Hydrophobic Polymer Technology a lot and what it can do from an actual detailing standpoint, the water sheeting just saves time for me and is better for drying IMO. I am still undecided on my go-to LSP on black. Maybe you can decide for me???

Hopefully this helps since I am not much of a "wax" guy. Sometimes I just grab whatever wax or sealant is handy since the prep work is something I like to put more time and effort into.

this is interesting, because, consumer range product used to detail this ride :-
when this ride came to me, it hasn't been wash for weeks, was park 7 24 outside non shaded car park. even splattered paint was on it. it took me quite a while trying to remove it with Step 1 paint cleaner, as I have yet to know professional range product

New city Post delivering detailing

This happen to be my uncle new ride & i offer groom his ride. initially he thought it was just waxing, but prior waiting for his new car delivery, he often drive over to the show room, admiring Dom's city (my neighbour - who is a megs fan & sold this ride to him) he was convinced that once he get this ride it has to be details


Menu for today is:-

ONR wash
mild clay with ONR as lube
Megs M80 with CCS cutting pad 2 passes (speed 2 & 1)

Came back from Church & after visited my sis prior to get this babe detailed. 1 month plus ride, park on outside/unshaded area, wash twice a week by my aunt. as his hubby always like to see it shinning.......in resulting...swirls

While choice of LSP is about as personal as things get in detailing, here's something to consider:

Many people will tell you that carnauba waxes give a deep, wet look while synthetics tend to give a sharper, crisper shine. In some cases, those who really don't care for synthetics will tell you that's because they leave a plastic look to the finish. Again, these are typical things you read on detailing forums, these are not official Meguiar's positions - just so we understand. Yet, this does seem to be the prevailing attitude (other than the "plastic" comments as those are a bit more rare and only come from those who really, really don't like synthetics).

So, given all that, while many like that deep, wet look a carnauba imparts, we all know that light colors aren't great at showing depth like black, red and other dark colors do. These lighter colors, then, can benefit from the brighter, crisper shine imparted by synthetics. Of course, a die hard synthetic naysayer will disagree with this, but that would be his personal choice. But if you personally see these differences between carnauba and synthetic then this should make sense. We don't want to start a wax war here, just taking some widely held beliefs and trying to put them into practice.

Oh, I'm not trying to start a wax war here. Would never want to do that. I'm just looking for which LSP would look the best on a light beige colored car. My daily driver is a beige color...




To date, here are some of the protectants I have tried on it:
NXT 2.0, Gold Class, M16, DG105, Z-2 Pro, Blackfire Midnight Sun, and Pinnacle Signature Series II.

Personally, I like the look of a sealant on a beige car. Sure, the waxes tend to bring out a little more depth, but I like the reflections of a sealant. That being said, it is very hard to tell the difference between any of the different protectants. The most noticeable improvement was after polishing the car with M205.

I debated at first even doing the M16 because I didn't think it would add anything. But it did. I think it added gloss and depth. Very interesting combination. This is still a wax I'm playing with - I have only used it 2 or 3 times to date. Still, it turned out very nicely on this car. I can't wait to see what it looks like after a correction in the spring.

As for M16, I have tried it a couple times and didnt really think it was anything special. I prefer NXT 2.0, and will usually never top it with anything.
