  • Quick Wash soap question

    Hi guys,
iam not sure if this is in the right thread:

when you do a full paint correccion how do you strip the old wax and sealents from the car, from my point of view; theres another guy (detailer in chile) that uses PH balanced soap before detailing, now if the car was waxed or sealed before, and he washes it with wax safe soap, he will clay over the wax (clay does not remove wax) .. wouldnt he be then polishing over all the wax/sealers, making even harder to correct the damages??

from the begining i have been using a bit of DAWN, before i detail my clients cars and alot of the PRO guys also use it, is there another way to do this? what do meguiars recomend to remove wax during washing?

i was just thinking this today because i did not have any work to do, jeje...thanks.

    Re: Quick Wash soap question

The general recomendation would be to stick with the good quality soap, then clay and clean as usual. The clay and paint cleaner would get through anything left on the surface.
