can anyone recommend a good and strong tire cleaner that wont damage my clear coated rims if i get a little on it, i cant find a strong enough tire cleaner to clean the tire enough when they get really dirty like after rain or snow. ive tried using all rim cleaner and eagle one all wheel and tire cleaner and when i spray eagle one on the tire the foam does turn brown like its cleaning but when the tire drys the tire still has a little brown spots on it or white spots after it snows, so i am looking for a strong tire cleaner, i wont be spraying it on my rims but i dont wont it to strong that if i get a little on the rim by mistake it was stain the rim,any suggestions?

Re: good and strong tire cleaner??
i have one question...are your spraying on your wheel cleaner and then just rinsing it off the tire ? because in order to really get tires cleaner you need to spray on the cleaner, and the use a brush to aggitate all the dirt off...just spraying on and rinsing off wont clean them. it will leave all the brown spots, grease, brake dust, etc....
anyway a great wheel cleaner that will clean everything off the rims and tires is Wheel Brightener...and you said your wheels were "clear coated"..wheel brightener is safe for clear coated wheels, but not un coated aluminum, anodized, etc...only clear coated wheels..its super strong and will get pretty much everything off your rims and tires...its super strong, but also safe.Addicted

Westley's Bleche-Wite, you can buy it at pretty all the local stores. I know for a fact they have it at Pep Boys and Auto Zone on Flatbush.James - 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais

Purple Power works really good. You can pick it up for about $5 a gallon at Wal-Mart in the automotive aisle with all the other car cleaning stuff.

[QUOTE=HCAD;377056] I use a pretty stiff brush to scrub the tire. QUOTE]
i do the same..ive tried using my normal rim brush with its soft bristles and although it works well on the tire, it doesnt work the greatest..i bought a really really stiff bristle brush..and i scrub the tire witih that..that always gets the tire back to its bear grey look and ready and clean for dressing..and of course, dressings always come out cleaner when done like this..Addicted

Re: good and strong tire cleaner??
what if i was to use greased lightning, its says its a multi purpose cleaner and degresser but its was the house, could i still use it on my tires? i just bought new tires and there were dirty so i used some eagle one and scrubbed hard with my sponge and when it tried it still had some brown spots and stains.
