    No free shipping with Dec. 20% discount?

    Hey, I was about to submit my order when I noticed that I was still being charged $7.95 for shipping. I thought shipping was free as it says in the disclaimer, or maybe I'm misunderstanding/misreading something...

    At least their shipping isn't marked up like other sights. MegsDirect shipping prices aren't so bad, except when you expect free shipping.

      It does mention free shipping in the disclaimer, but not in the main body of the 20% off ad. My guess is Meguiar's Direct copy and pasted the disclaimer from last month's ad, which did include free shipping, but forgot to edit out the free shipping portion of the disclaimer when they created this month's ad.

                Go back to your shopping cart and see if there is a drop down menu for shipping method. I order plenty of things from Amazon that offer free shipping, and when I go to my shopping cart for check out, the default shipping method is usually set to a faster, expedited shipping method that cost $$. I just select the free shipping which usually takes 5-7 days.

                  Did you enter the promotional code? This always has deleted shipping for me. I've deleted the email so that's all I can offer. Carry things on to the point prior to placing your order. I'm thinking it may delete it in the copy of your order which you can print.

                    Yea, I put in the code and it did discount the products, but it did not remove the shipping cost. I'll have to wait to call until next week, I have finals this week and will literally be spending every waking moment studying -- will I sleep sometime this week? I dunno.. *sigh*

                        I've called their operators before to amend an order, and they're absolutely the best. I'm certain they'll stand behind the promotion for you.

                            Thanks for pointing this out. Unfortunately this was just a misprint. It appears that a generic disclaimer (fine print) was used from a previous and different offer. As the body of this offer describes the offer is for a %20 discount. I have already contacted the appropriate people responsible for this promotion, but I do not know whether they will re-send a corrected offer or choose not to further confuse our database of customers with another email. Thanks again for your patience and making us aware of this error!

                              If the promotion E-mail stands as is, will Meguiar's honor the "free shipping" as written on the E-mail or just take it as a , "Oops, my bad" and we still have to pay shipping? Just curious.
