The kits at autodetailingsolutions.com are worth a look, since they include pretty much everything one would need. You can at least compare from there.

Another consideration is how much money you want to spend.
I'd go in this order... cheapest I'd pick up a PC7424xp for $100. Good DA I'd pick up the new G110v2, which I think is the best bang for your buck right now. Best DA, I'd look at the Flex.... course, this is going to run around $300.
I've not used the G110v2 but from everything I've read and seen, this is a great machine for the money right now. If your worried about upgrading from it, then you are looking at spending money on the Flex which is a huge step. So I don't think it's an issue.

Another thing to consider for purchases, and you may have thought of this already, is what level of polishing and perfection you are looking for. Most of the kits are great for everyday/average defect removal, but for the heavier stuff you are looking at all new pads/polishes/machines. If you plan on being able to correct anything you are hired to do, you should being to factor in a rotary and some quality wool pads for that unavoidable hammered audi/corvette.
If heavy correction isn't your plan then no worries, I'm just trying to keep those wheels in you head turning

There's not a lot to know.
If you want, ADS sells a great DVD called How to Get Show Car Results with a PC. (or something like that). It is a little older now, showing the G100 and #80 for cleaning, but all the info is still valid.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
