I bought a used Caliber SRT-4 just the other day and when I was driving it down the road I noticed that there is a very light mist of overspray on the front and rear windshield. Will the clay bar remove that without leaving a residue on the windows or do I need to use something else?

Re: Overspray removal from windshield?
ive never had a problem with overspray on my own car...but my friends car he was painting his rims and like a fool he did not take the rims off the car...although i have to say he did a pretty good job taping everything off..but the hood got a little overspray..he came to me 2 days later and he asked me if i could remove it safely..i told him that i was use paint thinner lol but i was only kidding..i tried meguairs consumer clay and it did an excelent job...however first i started with APC to i guess "soften it up" im not sure if it really helped at all..but then i went right to claying and it worked excellent...in extreme cases you made need the mirror glaze mild clay or even aggressive.Addicted

Re: Overspray removal from windshield?
Good news and bad news.......LOL!
The clay bar worked like a charm.
The bad news is that I have now realized that I am going to have to clay the entire drivers side and the rear of the car for sure. You can't see the overspray, but you sure can feel it when you run your fingers accross the surface.
To my knowledge the car has not been damaged and repainted anywhere, but I am going to call the dealership and ask them tomorrow. It's almost as if the car was parked near the body shop or something and the wind blew it on the car. But who knows.GO HOKIES!!!!
