Before I make a mistake...

I had planned on fully detailing my car today but unfortunately because of the weather when I finally got out to do it I only had time to wash it. I immediately pulled it in the garage, dried it off, and closed everything up.

My questions are:

1. If I UQD the car tomorrow in the garage can I then resume claying, polishing, waxing etc.?

2. I purchased 3M low tack painters tape (the blue tape with the orange core that is supposedly the second to lowest tackiness). Is this stuff okay to use to mask off my trim and paint protection film before I polish and stuff?

if you put her right in the garage, then yes, go ahead and quick detail the car and proceed with your detail

1. Yeah, kind of a waste of UQD.... QD would be cheaper to use, since you should have it for claying. Unless you are low on QD.

2. Yes, that tape should be good. You really only need to press down the working edge fimly, and peel back to remove, not up at 90 degrees.

I do have QD as well. So I'll use that. Can't you use UQD as lubircant too or is your suggestion referring to the price of using UQD.

Well, as far as dusting in the morning, it is just using something expensive, and then cleaning it right off. Bit of a waste, but no big deal.

But UQD is not meant for claying.
