Matching up Products

I have seen a lot on the internet about a combo that includes something like: Klasse All-in-One + Klasse High Gloss Sealant topped with Pinnacle Souveran.

I am not sure this is even a valid product lineup cause I dunno why you would use a sealant topped with carnuba. I *think* I have seen Mike saying on this forum that NXT doesn't need a topper rather a second coat is a good idea.

However, these products also seem to be discussed a lot independently. So regardless of the validity of the combo, can anyone tell me comparable or superior Meg products for each of those listed?

Some people like the way a carnuba looks on top. Some people cant tell the difference or dont care.

Something similar would be ColorX followed by Nxt 2.0, followed by something like Gold Class 2.0 if you wanted the carnuba.

Thanks Murr - do you like carnuba topper on sealant?

Those Meg products you mention are OTC and I think cost less than the competitive products listed in the original post. Do you think they really match up well or would one need the Meg pro line products?

I cant see enough of a difference to worry about it. And my cars have tended to be lighter as well, darker cars may show a different look as well.

They will definatley give a good detail. Will this be a first time using a lot of detailing products?

I have done clay, then spot scratchX, then cleaner, then wax OR sealant. I have never done pure polish step nor have I used both sealant and wax together (topper step).

If you want to try a pure polish step, then you may want to try something like this:

Wash
Clay if needed
Clean - SwirlX, DC1 if you just need something mild, etc.
Polish - DC2 is good, though #7 is pretty top of the line.
Wax - 2 coats of Nxt, or Nxt + Gold Class, etc.
