  • Putting tohgether a Christmas List.

Hey guys, im putting together a Christmas list for my family. Im somewhat focusing on OTC detailing stuff, such as vac, extractor, etc. Stuff they will be able to buy and not confuse themselves with, so ill keep product buying to myself, not to mention they dont know how to order stuff online without my help so id know what i was getting anyway.

So here kinda what im looking at, i want a shop vac, a good sized one with a bigger motor that has good sucking power. I also know ill need an assortment of attachments to compliment diff. vehicles etc. I guess what im looking for, is suggestions as to what would be a good candidate for me. I want 5-6hp motor with 10-14 gal capacity. Lots of attachments etc. You guys know what works well. Heres somewhat what i had in mind.

Shop-Vac is the recognized world leader in wet/dry vacuum cleaners. For more than 40 years, Shop-Vac has manufactured innovative, high quality vacuum cleaners, filters and accessories.

As for an extractor...im just thinking like a Bissell LGM pro heat.

Found this Proheat Autocare one as well?

    LGM PH

When i compared the 2, they seemed almost identical but IDK!

Not sure really what else i could ask for, help me with ideas and chime in guys!!!

Lowe's has the Werner 20" platform Friday for $22. Excellent idea, I'll be picking one up. I would go with the LGM Autocare, just because they had to do something to make it better for auto cleaning. Lowe's also has some Stanley rolling work stations that may interest you.

They also have some decent bags to keep all your stuff in case you need to move it somewhere for a detail if you do that kind of thing.

Ouch. Well, there is a HD within 50 miles and they have the Werner platform all the time for $39.

Hey Zach, I plan on getting a shop vac too for next year. I currently own a LGM-PH, it does well for getting rid of dirt and stains but it doesn't **** all too well. So if your planning on getting it, I'd definately buy a quality shop vac to follow up on.

How are you doing for lighting? I'd go to a hardware store of some type and pick up a few of those tripod lights, most ones I've seen run between 30 and 60 bucks.

I'd go with electric on the pressure washer. Less power, which is a good thing in this case. Once it warms up, I plan on using on for under the fender wells mainly. What type of cabinetry are you looking at, plastic snap together stuff?
