So I heard about the website detailing.com. I like the prices and im goin to place an order. Ive ordered SAMPLES sizes of M83 and M205 from ADS. Which products would you buy? The main ones you think i should have on hand??? (paint products, cleaners, dressings, etc.) Thanks

i have some M205, and got some M83 but its like water!!! Called rick but havent got a call back yet!?!!? im waiting....i got some reg GC wax and some Nxt 2.0. Thats all......and i use a PC XP

I would certainly look at some #105 for paint correction.

You can also look at something like the Nxt Glass Cleaner, Natural or Supreme Shine for interiors, QID, APC, maybe a wheel shine or exterior trim product.

Opinion, I would think you should stick with ADS. Rick has some of the best customer service available. The easiest way to contact him is via email. For the few $$ you would save at detailing I would just stick to ADS and have the piece of mind that everything would be taken care of, but do what you wish. Do you have any pads yet?

I would suggest, m105, m205, m80, NXT wax (you say you are getting already) m21 sealant.

Do you need any plastic or trim care, anything else, or are you strictly looking for paint products?

Mainly just the basics. Ill wait to christmas for APC+ and dressings. I have some Nxt 2.0, ordered some scratch x 2.0, have some Greese lighting APC, have some GC, got some M205 from a buddy. Will 205 be ok for slight swirls on my 2008s and 2009s? Should I use the yellow pad of the orange pad?? (both are LC pads)
P.S Rick does have great CS!!
And for trim care and tires right now, I use armorall original :/

If you're waiting till Christmas for some stuff, and you already have some stuff, you should be set. I mean, you can still do a pretty awesome detail by just going to Wal-Mart and buying OTC products. You don't always need to order chemicals. Some people, it gets in their mind they have to constantly order new stuff. As far as your pads go, neither. Go with white with 205. It's a polish, not a cutter. SwirlX is more powerful, so go with 205 on white.

ADS is the best website to order from no doubt. I would suggest you order some of Megs yellow applicator pads as well, they are always useful and can be washed.

Also how about a gal of a quick detailer spray such as Last Touch, it is way more economical and it can be diluted as a lubricant for the clay bar when needed.

Regarding the polishes, let me give you my honest opinion, some of us tend to buy "many" polishes when you really need 2-3 types at the most, unless you do detailing for living and work on many cars.

Everything depends on what you are working on, but you could have 2 products like Ultimate Compound and Swirl X and achieve amazing results.

i just visited the detail.com location, and was very pleased with their willingnes to answer your questions, help u understand the product for what to use it and how to use it . if u are not sure just give them a call ,they will help u with what ever u need!

I would definitely use detailing.com for all your small product needs because of their current black-friday sale and use ADS for anything in builk (detailer line gallons) because of the flat rate shipping.
