  • Thank you

Well my month has been hot and cold with my business and the worst part is my left wrist is in bad shape. So i need to put my mustang away but before i do it has to be cleaned top to bottom and some minor detailing but with my wrist being so bad i cannot do it matter of fact when i get detailing jobs i bring my brother along to help out cause most stuff i cannot not do. So i figure who can i trust with my baby besides myself and right away one person came to mind CALAIS !!!!!!!!!!!!! after exchanging a few texts with him on Saturday bright and early Sunday morning he was here armed and ready. So i left to do some work and when i came back the car looked GREAT , He has some pics so please when you read this please post them. Bottom line is he is only 17 and he has a ton of knowledge and he work habits is perfect , he is the future of detailing and MOL. If i am you i hold my head up high and be very proud of your work as you are a very good detailer and i wanna THANK YOU

      Re: Thank you

Thanks Joe, as I told you in my text before; your car was a detailer's dream to work on: cool car, clean, good shape, cool owner and a great location.

Joe was nice enough to set up a canopy for me to work under, left me the keys to his car as well as a bunch of his own supplies in case I was in need. He had washed his car the day before so all it needed was a quick wash job and on to paint correction we were.

The paint was kind of a pain on the hood as far as how soft it was but the swirls were fairly light so they did not require anything more aggressive than M205. I gave it a once around with M205 on a W8207 2.0 Polishing pad and once more with M205 on a W9207 on a finishing pad. All polish was carefully wiped off with Ultimate Wipes and Last Touch as per the soft clear coat. I applied Pinnacle Souveran with a Pinnacle foam applicator and removed it with a Cobra indigo edge-less MF. I was pretty happy with the results and I think Joe was too!

Here's one from the last time I got to work on Joe's Mustang:

(Also a quick a shout-out to my helping hand today, Thomas, who was extremely helpful throughout the process.)

Thank you. Like I said the thing was already looking amazing when I got there, all it needed was some TLC with the G110 and some 205. I just feel bad that the paint swirls so easily that Joe will be pulling his hair out next time he needs to polish; hopefully your hand with be better by then. The thing swirls just talking about it, Joe you might want to close this thread.

That's too bad Sudz, what's going on with your wrist? Sounds like you might have carpal tunnel syndrome. Hopefully you'll recover quickly and get back to detailing in no time!!

Well, if they (or you) need any help with detailing jobs let me know. You know which days I'm available so feel free to drop me a line.

I hope the hand is a quick fix, hand injuries can be kind of hit or miss.
