  • NXT 2.0 - Rain

I waxed my car yesterday at about 5:00 PM. A few hours later it rained for about 30 minutes. My question is, did the NXT have enough time to cure or does it need another coat?

    Thanks

I believe it did, but if you dont feel secure like I feel, I always add another layer of nxt.. it wont hurt it, just make sure the surface is clean :]

I agree it probably cured enough. Optimally 24 hours. But of in doubt, apply a 2nd coat today after you clean her up.

Yeah its fine. I just waxed my suburban with NXT wax and it rained probably an hour later and being crazy crazy, I stood in the rain for a minute watching the water bead up perfectly lol

One can test a small area by pushing the water away,if the cloth glides it's ok.
If it does not the wax has been affected.

Unless it was absolutely pouring down rain and you were driving at the time, you should be OK. You typical Florida half hour cloud burst shouldn't cause you any problems.
