What products do I need to detail my scooter?

I have a black scooter (unpainted) bare shiney plastic. I am waiting to polish it. And need to know exactly what products to pick up to take care of it. So far I picked up a bottle of PlasticX but i didnt go to heavy on it because i don't want to jack anything up. But I didnt want to chance anything. I also have a bottle of P21S wax, aka S100 wax. Don't know if waxing bare shiney plastic is a good idea or not but i'm looking to save a couple bucks and if I can use the wax on it I will.

As long as it isnt textured, you would have no problem waxing it.

Thanks. What about PlasticX should I go as hard as I would go if I was normally polishing or just use the polish and wait to see if streaks comes out? Can I over polish with plasticX until I see no scratches or spider webs?

It's just some some minor spider webs nothing bad. I just wondering if I can polish away but instead using PlasticX. Just didn't want to jack mess anything up before I started. Thanks

PlastX would be good to try. Obviously do a test spot out of the way, and make sure you get resutls before going nuts on everything. You would want to apply it like you were trying to remove swirls from paint, working it in some.

SwirlX, or #105 are also possibilities if you need to go stronger. With a test spot of course.

I don't think plasticX is working out to good it gives it a little bit of shine but doesn't get rid of any scratches or swirls. Rememeber i'm working with bear plastic with a s hiney coat. With that in mind what should I pick up. I need some sort of polish or swirl or scratch remover that does just that but also gives it shine.

Yeah, the bare plastic will behave differently that paint. It will be tougher to remove swirls from, if at all. I would look at #105, if you are going to get anywhere by hand, that is what it will be with. Otherwise, it may be a much bigger, more involved process, and I have no idea what that would be, if it is even possible.

I cant't afford #105 right now, I need something around $10 what should i pick up for around that price range?

And is it just a myth but is it best to go up and down and side to side when polishing by hand? Or does it matter just as long as you watch what you are doing and have a little bit of know how?
