  • Hand applicator CONFUSION!

    first post, long time lurker!

So I have a bunch of the microfiber blue viking pads. I use them for ultimate compound, swirlX, and sometimes NXT 2.0 . I use a yellow viking polish cloth for application of deep crystal pure polish.

Am I correct to do this? I realize i should be 100% meguiars but I already have so many of these :-( I know i should use the foam pads for this and the even coat for that, but wont these brand new clean pads do a decent job in the mean time before I can pick up some new ones. After all, I already spent 200 dollars picking up all the various products!

Should work fine, dont think they are a bad quality MF or anything. But just do a test area, and make sure yo udont see any new swirls. If not, then good to go.

Whatever microfiber towels, applicators, etc., you use, just make sure they don't do any harm and if they don't, you are good to go.

If you've been doing this all along and have been getting good results, you already have your answer.

While we very much appreciate you wanting to be a 100% Meguiar's user, we also understand the economics of already owning a collection of perfectly good products and the need/desire to use them up rather than just throw them away. As your Viking pads become worn and due for replacement, start transitioning to the X3070 foam applicators - you should be fine in the meantime.
