    Need help

    hi everyone i am new to the forum and new to detailing GREAT SITE VERY HELPFUL my ? IS can i apply meg.#7 then meg.#26 HI-TECH WAX useing the pc xp or do you have to use the clay bar first every time when doing a car. THANKS MARK

    Welcome to MOL!

    You don't need to clay everytime you wax. It depends on whether you feel the surface is contaminated. Run your hand over the surface after washing, if you feel bumps or contaminents stuck in the paint then yes you need to clay. I'm a big fan of using a sandwich bag over my hand and seeing if it glides over the surface.

      Follow Andy's advice regarding indication of when it's time to clay and then go ahead and use M07 followed by M26 - both applied via PC but with two different finishing pads. That combination has been around for a long time and many, many people swear by it.
