There is no "Wheels" section so I guess this is the next logical place. A friend of mine just had his winter rims and tires put on. The summer stock GM chrome wheels have some pitting and what looks like corrosion, on the inside of the wheels, where our friendly GM people have really scrimped on the chrome . It is not really bad, but he would like to know what he can do over the winter to clean this up and protect it in the future. His thought is to clean the spots up with a small, soft wire wheel you attach to a drill for small work such as in hobby use, and then spray with clear coat or Tremclad clear.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
