  • Using detailers to help dry?

I know there are a lot of folks who use a spray detailer such as Last Touch, QD, M34, etc., to wipe down the car after a wash to help reduce water spots. I was wondering if most who use this method use a waffle weave MF or regular MF? Over time, does the detailer diminish the cloth's drying ablitilty?

    Thanks.

I would use a Water Sprite to remove the majority of water first then follow with a Waffle Weave or other MF towel. Once waffle weaves get saturated they lose most of their drying capability.

I never noticed any sort of diminished absorbency when using a QD while drying either. I would think that when you wash the towel it would all be rinsed away.

Seems to work ok for me. I tend to do it more when the wax seems like it is gone a bit, and want to keep up the slickness/lubrication.

I mist the vehicle down with Last Touch before using a WW towel to dry. I've never noticed any problems with the towel. It should be just like another other and MF's are used all the time to remove QDs.
