  • Natural Shine - spray issue

    Hi,

I bought the Natural Shine protectant a couple of weeks ago, and just used it last night. Although I liked the non-greasy finish it leaves, the smell and how well it cleans and restores a natural color of my interior, I'm a little concerned about the spray nozzle. I saw in a video that the spray should work kind of like UQD does, spraying in a mist kind of type, but mine actually just throws a little stream of white liquid, more than spraying is "spitting" the product onto the surface or towel. It also "spits" unevenly, and the product ends up being sprayed on the top part as well, causing sort of a mess especially when I was cleaning the dashboard and I was pointing at it and sprayed but the nozzle spread some product over the windshield in a very tight spot to clean for me, not what I expected.
    Is this normal?

I love Megs products, and I own quite a few sprays, and this is the first time (except for the hot shine tire and wheels sprays) that a spray acts like this. Any suggestions?

    Thanks !!

Might be clogged? Maybe take it off and spray some hot water through it?

The natural shine is a little thicker and is not going to spray an even mist like UQD, UQW, Quik Detailer, etc. The best thing to do is spray it onto a foam applicator, spread it around and work it in. Also, try running the spray head through some water and clear it it out, if there might be some product clogged in there.

Thanks, I'll try to clean it up with hot water and see how it goes.

        thx!

Mine came out the same way yours does and it was one of things I did not like about the product and it is no longer a part of my arsenal. I much prefer Supreme Shine.

I have had some of the same issues. I spray it onto a terry applicator, apply it, then go back over it with a clean microfiber. Works great that way. Meguiar's redesigned the Natural Shine and Supreme Shine sprayers for 2010, so hopefully that should help.

I actually like the fact that it does not spray an even mist but rather a little thick.

Thats just how it is since its so thick. If you pull the trigger fairly hard it will spread out into a finer spray but it will not spray like UQD or the like would.

Mine doesn't spray any finer if I pull the trigger harder... it just sprays further away lol... I haven't tried to clean it yet to see if it helps. I'm ok with the spray being thick and not very "misty", because is going to be used mainly inside the car and in tight spots, but don't want it "unevenly" thick spray, making a mess... my solution for now is step back a couple of feet, and spray on the MF towel...

                  thanks!

Spraying on a cloth is usually best either way.
