  • MF towel maintenance questions

I just did a much needed car wash by hand today and washed my microfiber towels. After looking at the towels coming out of the dryer I noticed 3-4 tiny pieces of grass/dirt/etc. stuck in a few of the towels. It took some time pulling them all out, but I did end up getting all of them (hopefully..)

Anyways, are these MF towels messed up now? Do I have to buy new ones?

Where do you guys/girls keep your MF towels prior, during, and after your car wash? I dunno, maybe I'm not storing them correctly or something...

I washed them when I first got them and put them all in a clean trash bag to place in my garage so nothing would get on them. I brought out a fold out chair and placed the towels on it during and after the wash -- they never touched the ground.

Also, is it safe to use Shout to remove the black stains off the towels before machine washing them? (I only wash MF with MF)

    Thanks.

I always pretreat my microfibers with shout before washing. No ill effects at all.

I store them in a plastic rectangular tub with a dual flap top. I think I got it at Wal-Mart for $2.99. Holds about 20-30 towels. The feeder for this is two of those 12 gallon clear plastic storage containers with the same kind of flap system, $6-7 at Costco. I'm guessing that each of these hold about 70-100.

Wash them again to make sure nothing is stuck in them. If nothing, I would use them on my car. I would not buy new ones.
