    Does Quick Detailer have Carnauba?

    I've been using Ultimate Quick Detailer and mostly like the results, but I am getting some streaks. Maybe I'm using too much but I'm trying to avoid scratches from a dry MF towel.

    So, I bought some regular QD in order to compare. Is this a Carnauba wax product? It doesn't say on the bottle, but it has that familiar scent. It's definitely a little harder to wipe off and the finish looks less wet, but doesn't seem to streak. Can't decide which I prefer.

    No, the Quick Detailer has no wax in it.

      no detailer has any wax in it, think of it as a wet duster

        When is the last time you waxed, or clayed and waxed, your car? When a mist and wipe product like Quik Detailer or UQD starts to become difficult to remove that's a pretty good indication that it's time to wax again.

          I waxed with NXT 2.0 a week ago. The QD takes noticeably more effort than the UQD to wipe around. But there's no funky residue. I notice this sometimes on the UQD, especially when the humidity rises.

            I'm gonna flip on this issue. I've been using the the QD daily to dust on black paint for several days. It definitely leaves a "dry", less wet look on black paint. I'm going backto the UQD. Maybe my new Supreme Shine towels will minimize the streaking.

            I'm curious about the Last Touch and NXT speed detailers though. NXT is not hydrophobic right?

              No, Nxt is not Hydrophobic.

                Is the NXT speed detailer a better match if I am using the NXT 2.0 wax, or does it not matter if I am putting UQD on it?

                If I use UQD, would I be better of with Gold Class wax than the NXT?

                  All of the Detailers and the waxes will work fine together.

                  It is possibe that with your technique, maybe humidity in the air ,etc, one just fits you better.
