Re: thought it would have lasted longer....

I used NXT 2.0 last time. That's normally what I always use. My car is parked in the garage overnight. It might sit out a few times a month but nothing to heavy. My car usually gets washed once a week. if not, for sure every other. I do use Ultimate Quik Wax or Ultimate Quik Detail every now and again. Where I work at, the road is paved up to the building but, we got a little gravel by the parking lot. The wind just carrys it over for a dusting. so I dont like to wipe it down after I get home at night afraid to scratch it.

It is normal to wax a car after 3 months correct? If I did use UQD and UQW every other day, how much farther would it go. I just didnt want to wash it and throw some wax on it without doing some polishing.

I didn't mean on how fast you can apply one or the other, but cleaner wax is less agressive than swirlX or UC, that's why I said I would prefer it for a "quick detail session". Although SwirlX is kind of hard to work by hand, way harder than cleaner wax.

Wax the car every 2 or 3 months is ok I guess, but depends on your environment, and driving conditions. I would use UQD every other day, but for UQW is better to wash it first IMHO. There is a thread on how to "correctly" apply UQW.

still debating if I should give the car a quick detail... would it be worth it.. or just better to let it go and hope for a warmer day?

looking at temps for the weekend, 61 friday 56 saturday 52 sunday.. lows down in the 40's

Couldent start early in the morning with the temps cool.. but cant go past 6 because of darkness and coldness..

I will be using Dc1 and Nxt 2.0

Its only been 2 months. Our weather hasnt been that great. Rain every other day it seems like. Maybe that has something to do with it? Did i not apply the wax very thick.. I know its suppose to be thin...

Anyway They are saying the temps will be in the higher 50's this weekend.. I was almost thinking about changing some plans and getting it waxed up again.

Since I clayed and everything 2 months ago, What should I use for a cleaner? I know theres cleaner wax and all of those.. What is the best to use. Yes I do have a D/A. I shouldent have to claybar right? The paint is still real smooth.

              Thanks
Which wax did you use? I would try some #21 V 2.0. It leaves a nice high gloss finish and lasts a long time.
