  • Cleaning Interior?

I have no experience with cleaning leather and my seats are looking pretty pathetic so if someone could recommend a good cleaner that would be great.

The seats have what looks like pen marks so I need something strong enough to get that out.

Also, the carpet in the car is tan and has a few brownish/blackish stains here and there so I also need a product for this as well.

I have a carpet cleaner that sprays a foam solution and water which you then **** up with a device. Would this be good enough or is it too harsh?

Sounds like you might want some APC and the Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner.

You can spray and wipe the seats with the APC and a terry cloth, then apply the leather product.

Not sure about the pen marks, but this will be a start. I think I heard of using hand soap for pen marks once.

As for the carpet, you can certainly try your device. APC is also ok to use on carpets, as well as to wipe down the rest of your interior vinyl.

I would make sure that you spray the APC (all purpose cleaner) directly on your terry cloth towel. Sometimes when spraying a cleaner onto leather it leaves the spray pattern. I have never had this happen when I spray the apc on the towel.

          What about M39?

Seemed to work well for this guy.

#39 is good, but is only for vinyl/plastic. APC can be used on leather and cloth as well, and you get a lot more of it.

But if you have some real real bad stuff on vinyl, the #39 may work a tad better.

I have had great success with OxyClean by TurtleWax for carpet, headliners, door panels, etc. As for leather, I am currently working with a guy who advertises on u-Tube. He can set you up with spray dye to re-dye your seats... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRaFQoWmJhM
I don't endorse any of these products and am just now in contact with the leather guy Lee Snyder and he is helping me with my Lincoln.

Let us know how your doing...
