    Re: Winter detailing?

If the coin-op is not busy, I sometimes do a QEW wash right there. I bring all of my "stuff" from home including about three gallons of warm soft water in a jug. Then I mix up the QEW and go to it. All the QEW has to get off is the scum left by the coin-op. Takes about 15 minutes tops.

I also sometimes use a Meguiar's wide body brush at home if the temperature is above freezing. The brushes are darn quick. Too bad they no longer sell them. I have used the brushes both with regular shampoo followed by rinsing and QEW with no rinsing. Either works.

Finally to be very honest. My trucks don't get washed as often as they should in the winter.

If you are a Minnesotan, good luck. I was in the Twin Cities last Christmas and picked up so much salt on my headlights I couldn't see where I was driving.

LOL !! on the salt. It literally turns the highways white. It's basically all you can do to just spray it down weekly to get the thick salt off the vehicles. I keep an old towel in the truck just to keep the headlights clear.
