  • Wash mitt on a stick?

I'm not tall enough to reach all of the windshield or the roofs on my extra cab pickups without using a ladder. Having the appropriate wash mitt mounted on a pole or stick seems like a much better idea.

What is everyone else using on the those hard to reach by hand areas while hand washing?

    Regards...

I would rather use a platform ladder. But that is just me.

Meguiar's used to make two products that addressed this problem, try to find at least one of them. The Gold Class body brush or the Ultra Plush Wash Mop, I use the former while the latter is exactly what you are talking about.

i use a scaffolding step ladder. look it up its made by werner and can be had from home depot or lowes for 40-50 bucks... works great for my truck as i can work a few sections without having to step down and relocate the platform every time... but before that i had to climb up on my tires or open the door to get the windsheild and roof

I just throw the wash mitt on the roof, and then open the door or jump in the bed.

The Ultra is just what I was looking for. So far I haven't been able to find one. I'll try my local Meguiar's supplier tomorrow and see if he has one or can get one. If not I'll have to go with the ladder method.

                Thanks for the info...

I use a boars hair brush on a pole, which is very similar to the above mentioned Gold Class body brush. I used to have a tall F150 pickup and my wife still has a Trailblazer SS, so it became a necessity. Use the 2 bucket method and clean away.

Here are the wash tools I use on my motorhome. The soft was brush dipped in a soapy bucket and the squeegee for drying. Both are very soft and are on telescoping poles and work great.

LoL... Actually if your store still has some in stock maybe I'll be able to find one out my way. Its going to look strange walking in looking for a car wash mop in the middle of a snow storm and winds gusting over 40 mph...lol...

Thanks for the link but they're out of stock there. I'll drop them a line if see if and when they might be back in stock.

                            FYI everyone...

Just received an email from Micro Fiber. The item has been discontinued and they have none left in stock.

                            On to plan B.

Try Autogeek, they have a lot of boar's hair brushes with telescoping handles.
