Will these come out?

Looking at buying a pickup and it appears that the owner drove it along some tree branches or shrubs. I'm wondering if the marks would come out with some effort?

I know there are some more marks in the picture but the ones I'm concerned with are the long horizontal ones that are hard to see in the photo. What would you use?

It's really tough to say without working on it and seeing how it reacts. My gut feeling is to say you would at least be able to significantly reduce their appearance- if not remove them completely.

Can you catch your finger nail on them? If so, they are too deep.

See if he will let you test buff a small spot and see what happens.

From the photo it looks like the marks on the paint could be improved, But for the plastic flare you can apply a trim detailer but you will still have the scuff.

What products do you have ?

I really don't have any products yet. My dad is becoming a detailing fanatic as he has been getting into harley's and he loves to make his shine. He said he has been able to do some amazing things with the meguiars scratch x.

I can't feel them at all. I know he did wax the pickup last week. What would you use to test the area? (remember I'm new to this)

Get some ScratchX 2.0, and work it into a small area of the scratches.

Often it is easer to be shwon how to apply the products, and seems like your Dad could hep with that.

Here is another look at the rest of the truck. You cannot see them from a distance until you get up close.



Would you guys let this hold you up from buying the pickup? If I could get $500 more off the price do you think it would justify buying it with those marks?

If the guy drops 500 because of those scratches.
TAKE IT.

You'll greatly be able to reduce atleast the appearance of those scratches, if not remove them completely.
