Terry foam pads?

Is there any use for terry foam hand applicator pads? Perhaps when you want better cleaning action with a one step cleaner/wax?

I bought a package of them on impulse. It's and old guy thing. I used them a bunch in the past. They frequently were included with the purchase of a can of wax.

That is how I feel. I feel like it gives a little more bite to the cleaning on a chemical/cleaner (ColorX) . I like to use the foam pads with my LSP though.

Terry cloth covered foam applicator pads do work with your product to give you a little more aggressive cleaning action when compared to foam alone.

You need to be careful when using these on clear coats in very good to excellent condition however because clear coats are scratch-sensitive and increasing your aggressiveness could potentially lead to fiber induced swirls. Always test first with your applicator material and your choice of products before apply to the entire finish.

Cleaned up mom's car yesterday, and used some terry pads to apply leather cleaner and conditioner. Also used one to apply NXT Tech Protectant to the dash. The dressing doesn't soak through the terry pad as quickly as it does a foam pad.

I bought 'em so I have to use 'em, right? I used one to apply NXT Tech Wax to the wheels and bumpers on my wife's Tacoma. I found that the Tec Wax did not soak into terry foam pad as much as it does into a straight foam pad.

Maybe a terry foam pad would be a good applicator for NXT Spray Booster if you use the pad lightly just to spread the product? I seem to have problems holding on to the foam pads. No, it's not because I'm an old guy. I'm just a clutz.
