I might be alone in this but I find cleaning, polishing and sealing wheels to be my most unfavorite job on a car. I therefore don't use wheel cleaners as I'd have to reseal them again.

I think I've found a better way, at least for me. After going through this process of detailing the wheels I maintain them with Quik Wheel Detailer, weekly after every wash. This stuff leaves the wheels very slippery so dirt and brake dust wash off readily with plain car wash.

quick wheel cleaner works extremely well.

I have also found that most of my dirt is just brake dust. I use a california mini duster and that removes most of the brake dust, then I don't need to use but just a little of the quick wheel cleaner to make the wheels look great again.
