  • New windshield. Oh Yuhh!

Just got a new, good, clear windshield and would appreciate some suggestions.

What washer fluid do you guys prefer?
    What blades should I buy?

Also. Is there a good way to completely flush out the old fluid? so I just have good fluid going through the system.

Fluid won't affect the windshield other then keeping it clean. I try to choose a fluid that won't remove the wax from my paint.

I'd recommend using a good product such as Stoners Glass Cleaner to keep the windshield clean.

I've heard of people using diluted Last Touch in their washer fluid resevoir. I just got a little less than a gallon and if I get my sprayer fixed maybe I will check it out.

I've always used either Rain-X or Bosche wiper blades. I've Rain-X on there right now, just take care of them with some QID and M40 on occasion and they will treat you well.

I only use the washers in the interstate, when I don't want to make a pit stop and clean like normal.
But what kind of fluid will not strip wax?

Edit: I rarely use my wiper though thanks to UQW on my windsheild. Also, mine are hidden when not in use so they probably get less weathered than average wiper blades.

I have a set of lattitutes on my caprice and I like those blades alright.
I don't know if I should get another set or try something different.

I have been liking my Bosch Icons for 2 years now (will be replacing come spring, starting to see wear), though the RainX Latitudes got rated higher by Consumer Reports (for what thats worth).

I Loveeeee my Bosch Icons. They Work amazing!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                  I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                  Remove swirls my friends.

To me, washer fluid is washer fluid is washer fluid.
I couldn't tell one from another in most cases. But i also use it often and maintain the cleanliness of my windshield anyway.
The washer fluid is a quick clean before i can give the windshield a proper scrubbing and cleaning.

I bought some latitude/icon type blades form napa today at school.
They are half the price of my latitudes.

The only time I use my wipers is when it's raining lightly and I'm driving 10mph slow.
Living in Houston, it's typical for the windshield to be covered with small water beads after being parked for a few minutes.
