  • Lexus ES330 Dash

New to the forums and somewhat new to Mequiars products. Have just purchased an '06 Lexus ES330 a couple of weeks ago. Have clay barred it and waxed it, detailed the leather and all interior - all with Mequiars products and I must say it looks showroom. However, the black dash tends to have a spotted look on it after I used the Quick Interior Detailer. I decided to try to use the leather cleaner on it (even though I believe it is not leather) and it helped a little. Looking for other suggestions....thanks in advance.

Quik Interior Detailer leaves a very matte/flat finish. If you try something like #40, the finish may look more uniform. Hyper Dressing is also a very good product for interior use. Or, just wait a few more months until "Sample P" is released: http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37767

How are you applying it to the dash? If spraying it on that could be the reason. Spray it on your applicator, then work it in your dash.

Yes, I have been spraying it on an applicator first...then using it on the dash. You are correct, spraying it on seems to leave spots so that is why I switched to an applicator
