I was thinking about picking up some colorX, and was wondering where it would fit in with my other polishes. If ColorX had to replace a product in the professional line which would it be? I know it couldn't because of waxes etc. but as far as abrasiveness and cleaning ability. Perhaps it cleans like DACP, and removes light defects like #82, and waxes like #6. <--This is just a stab at it, Because I have not used the product yet. But see people with such good results. Also how does this compare to the Deep Crystal Polish as far as cleaning and abrasiveness? Thanks

ColorX uses both diminishing abrasives and chemical cleaners. All things being equal, it's not as aggressive as the #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish.
How well it cleans will always be determined by application method and material. ColorX will be more aggressive at cleaning if applied by machine versus hand, and more aggressive at cleaning if applied with terry cloth versus soft foam applicator pad.
Here's are a couple of threads I found using the search words,
M66 ColorX with the Search button.
What are the differences between Meguiar's waxes?
The cleaner waxes; what are the differences, when to use each?
Hope this helps..

Mike I have never used M-66. I see Both ColorX and M-66 are strong cleaners, But still a little fuzzy on abrasiveness and what degree of defects it will remove if any?
Say I used #80 or #9 with PC, and Used ColorX with PC, and I stripped the surfaces down with a solvent. What product would appear to be more aggressive? or have done more for scratch removal?Last edited by cheapthrills; Nov 24, 2004, 08:52 AM.
