  • Clear Coat Failure - Any Way to Fix These?

    Hi guys:

After doing some research, I've found out that my car's paint has clear coat failure in a few places. I know that there's one area in which I cannot do anything - I can live with this...

There are, however, a few other places that aren't as severe; I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to fix these areas. Pictures are included below:

Obviously, this area is not salvageable, at least easily:

Here's some CCF starting... can I do something to remedy this?

Again, two spots on the hood:

Any ideas of what I could do to save those last two areas? I'm a relatively new detailer, but am willing to try a few things...

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks guys!

With time that will continue to worsen. It's something that will progress with time with no fix on stopping to repairing. The only way to fix it is repainting the part, sorry about this

I don't think the other spots are repairable, but regarding the spots on the roof, you might be able to take some Scratch X 2.0 or Ultimate Compound to those areas, then follow up with a pure polish like DC2 or M07 to restore the oils to those faded areas. Then you can go ahead and wax with your favorite wax.
