  • a couple of questions about UQW

1.how does it boost the wax you already have on the car?
2.since it only lasts weeks, when it is gone is the wax you first put on the car still there?
    3. does it make the wax you have on the car last longer?
    4. how many times can you apply UQW before you rubbed the wax you first had on your car away?
5.a little off topic, but how do you know when your wax is no longer on your car?
    6. should i always UQW after wash, every other wash, and can i use UQD instead of UQW?

i ask these questions because after i wash the car i always feel like i have to do something else to the car i cant just wash the car and walk away even if i already have my 2 coats of nxt2.0 on the car already.

2.since it only lasts weeks, when it is gone is the wax you first put on the car still there? Since any wax is a sacrificial barrier and slowly degrades over time, it follows that apply even a very thin coat a week or so later will give you that tiny bit of "fresh" product that must degrade first. While it's not that perfect a system, that is the basic concept of a supplemental wax
    3. does it make the wax you have on the car last longer? To some degree, yes, and for the reasons just stated above
    4. how many times can you apply UQW before you rubbed the wax you first had on your car away? How hard are you rubbing when applying UQW? How long ago did you apply the "primary wax" and what has it been exposed to (heat, rain, washing, road salt, etc)?
5.a little off topic, but how do you know when your wax is no longer on your car? When your quick detail spray becomes difficult to remove you can pretty well assume your wax has degraded to a point where it's time for a fresh application
    6. should i always UQW after wash, every other wash, and can i use UQD instead of UQW? You can use UQD on a daily basis between washings to remove light dust and fingerprint smudges, but use the UQW between waxings to help keep the shine at its max. That would indicate regular use immediately after washing. But "should you always"? You can, but you don't have to.

That's because you're Car Crazy. And that's why we make UQD and UQW.
