  • Can't find Quick Wheel Detailer locally, alternatives?

I was hoping to find some Quick Wheel Detailer locally and try it on my painted aluminum wheels (Mignight Silver color), but have had no luck. I'll have to order some online I guess. What's the consistency of this stuff? Is it similar to Quick Detailer? Any reason not to just use the QD on my wheels. I'm interested in a wipe off without water. If I need to use the hose, I'm just gonna wash the whole car and don't generally need more than my car wash soap.

The Camaro has huge Brembo brakes and they dust up quick, so I've been wiping them daily with a wet a few wet then wrung out micrfiber towels. It seems to work well, but feels a little abrasive and I'd like to avoid scratching the wheels.

Have you taken a look at big lots? I bought a bottle of quick wheel detailer for $3.50 and also some hot rims multi-piece for around the same price.

Quik Wheel Detailer is formulated to safely remove light to moderate brake dust, making it a better choice over a standard QD.

But since my wheels are clearcoated aluminum I have been using Last Touch and Ultimate Quik Wax with pretty good results. I havent found Quik Wheel Detailer locally either.

QWD is much more slippery than a QD. I find QWD at my local Walmart and have seen it at most of the auto parts stores as well as at Target and Farm & Fleet (Fleet Farm).

So far, I've found our local O'Reily Auto has the best selection of Meguiars. Might try there if there's one near you.

You can certainly use the regular QD, or Last Touch, Finapl Inspection, UQD/#135, etc without problems.

The QWD may be a bit better, but some QD will be better than nothing.

I always add a couple of bottles to my ads order. Around here it is spotty at best to find it on a consistent basis.
