  • Pictures of Another Detail Job!

So, here is my 2008 Honda CRV. My process was:

    1. Hyperwash (love how it suds up!)
    2. Clay
    3. Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
    4. Two coats of Tech Wax 2.0, applied 12 hours apart

I had to clay my roof twice as there were what appeared to be "water spots." They were a bugger to get out, but the claying did achieve good results.

I used the ASD on the outside rubber, and was again very impressed with the results. The D120 window cleaner is never a disappointment either.

Thanks J.A.!!! I so appreciate it! I will tell you this, I spread the detail out over two days. I am in fantastic shape (as an athlete), but detailing is no easy task. I usually wash and clay, and do some trim work the first day, then the rest on the second day. It's not about speed, it's about patience.

Your shiny Honda will make Bell Honda proud.

I hope you applied some dressings to the Bell Honda license plate frame

          Invisible,

Funny you mention the Bell Honda license plate holder. I am in the process of getting rid of that darn thing! I'm going to get a "Best Friends" plate holder. They are an animal sanctuary in Kanab, Utah that rescues all animals and does not euthanize.

              Nick,

I would love to use ASD on the tires...maybe once they pave our road (2 miles of desert dirt), I will. It's hard to justify "wasting" product when one drive on the dirt road puts it all to waste...

I've heard of them. My parents have donated money to them in the past when we got their newsletter (not sure if we still do or not). That's cool!

You need to take more pictures. Two pictures just isn't enough - it's like a teaser! Your CR-V looks great! I love those little SUV's! Great vehicles, IMO. Keep up the great work!

Yeah, I don't believe in euthanasia on abandoned pets either. Because it doesn't kill the animal the first time 100% of the time!

very nice, although I am jealous of the flat land and seemingly optimal weather compared to the North East.

Great work!!! I've used ScratchX 2.0 to get out some of those pesky water marks on the roof.

BTW, it's great to see female car nuts on the site. The stereotype that car care is a "man's thing" needs to be broken.

Thanks for all of the great feedback! I will try Scratch X on those pesty water spots, great suggestion!

By the way, I don't know what is in D120, but it beads up on my windshield every time it rains!

Nice work! Really looks sharp against that Arizona background. I sure do miss the Palo Verde and the Saquaro...
