    Hey guys, hows everyone doing?

I have a question , i have mercedes benz C230 sport sedan which is Black and i have "Light Swirls" on the car, mostly on the hood, the car is always being washed in a car wash and it wasnt being waxed from the begining ( i am waxing it now every few months as i should) but for the first 1,2 years it wasnt, it is garage kept at all times (valet parking) cuz i live in an apartment here in NY, anyway, i have a question , can anyone here in NY that does a good job remove Swirl marks professionaly? i dont know who to go for this so thats why im posting here... I dont want to do anything major to the paint, i just want to remove the swirls and then ill wax and maintain the car from then and on but yea i need someone to remove the swirl marks for me professionaly.

Is there anyone here on the forum that knows how to do it?

      Re: Removing Swirls

if your only worried about light swirls you dont need a pro. You can do this yourself easily either by hand or machine. If you want and are not worried about money buy the G110 dual action polisher or a porter cable 7424 or 7242 dont remember the exact model number on the porter cable. Then buy some swirlX, you can easily apply by hand or machine I prefer machine its real easy and idiot proof so dont worrie you can not mess your paint up with the G110. Anyways your better off buying the machine and swirlX, it will cost you about the same as taking it to a proffessional and getting it done. I bought my G110 and the yellow polishing pad, and brown finishing pad for 150.00 I think right in that price range from Amazon.com. Its a good investment for what your talking about.

        Well,

Sometimes it comes down to how hard or soft the paint is.

Good point. you're paint could be hard, making it more difficult to work with, especialy by hand. Going by your thread,it seems to be that you want someone to deswirl it for you and then you'll maintain it. That part is your choice.
If you want to do cleaning/polishing,plenty here will help you out with product choice and technique.

Check out this thread to get an idea of the level of my work:

Questions about using rotary buffers to remove sanding marks and other serious paint defects.

I will not use the rotary on your car, I'm not comfortable enough to start using it on other people's cars. G110 should be more than sufficient to take out what you describe to be "light swirls".

Update: I've spoken to lemonsas on the phone and discussed what it is that he wants. We should be setting up an appointment for the work to begin soon. With his permission, of course, I will post pictures of the before and after.
