  • Removing old, dried product from a rubber spoiler

Yes there are other threads on this topic, mine is a bit unique because I'm a major dufus.

My wife's summer toy is a mint 1986 VW Scirocco 16V. I'm sorry to admit her car is not the top of my detailing radar, so it's neglected other than the occasional (touchless) car wash. Well, I noticed today some white spots on the rear spoiler, fender and window. I have a feeling these are very, very old spots from a previous detail due to excessive product whipping around the garage. Usually I toss a car cover over the other car to prevent this (I need to work on my product flinging with the D/A - Buffer).

Anyway, to the problem at hand. Removing the spots from the window and fender was easy, ISP took it off.
On the rubber / poly spoiler not such luck. I tried silicone free dressing, a few other miscelanious rubber and trim cleaners. I even tried a clay bar with Last Touch.....

Any ideas? Yea, I'm a moron.

    You could try
APC or APC+ or you could also try M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner

M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner should do it for you.

Are you slinging this much product with a D/A or are you creating the spatter with a rotary? Understandable with a rotary, but it just should not be happening with a D/A.
