This is something that some of you may have tried already...I want to share my experience. Seems that no matter what type of tire gel or spray I use, I always get it on my rims which cause me more work. Due to this, I gave some thought to my options several nights ago and decided to use a cheap harbor freight paint brush to apply some Meguiars insane shine to my tires. It certainly took longer than the traditional methods I have used, but after letting the product dry overnight, the results are a knockout.
Because of this, I decided to apply the same application method to my TOYO 37-13.50x20s on my truck. What a workout! Those are some big tires. However, after washing my car and truck during this past week, the tires are clean and shine like they were had just been done again.
I believe that the reason this works so well may be that the product gets thoroughly worked onto, maybe into, the surface of the tire.
Try this method only if you have several hours to let the product dry on the rubber or you'll certainly have a bunch of 'slung' product all over your vehicle. The results are certainly worth the effort.
