I'll certainly use that spray this comming winter.

The past winter i did not. And maybe someone else from illinois can attest to this. We had a warm day, late december i believe it was, 35 degrees, and it rained. A couple of inches it rained. And that night, it dropped, below zero. That next day, there was no hope for getting into your car if it were parked outside as mine was!
We're talking a sheet of ice, a couple inches thick, over the entire car.
We had that rain on top of two plus inches of wet snow which then froze solid. Our city would not send plows out because it would have been pointless and we were in the midst of a road salt shortage. The city did send the plows out with a sand and cinder mixture which did nothing for traction after the sun went down. Needless to say we had a bumpy slippery drive for at least a week.
I do remember driving to the office and looking at a number of people chipping away at all that ice; most were still there at my lunch hour some 6 hours later.
