I was thinking of starting off with ScratchX for the scratched areas and then going to try the Ultimate Compound. I started reading the thread on that stuff and many have had sucess with it and some with the swirls on their cars. I will post the results.

Thanks I am thinking that is the one. Like I said I am really new to doing autos. I did my boat and it turned out great.

Yeah, you always go after the worse scratches and swirls first with ScratchX/UC, then go over eveything with SwirlX.

Hopefully you wont need to UC the entire car, but never know.

Personally, if your tube were to be the original ScratchX, I'd go UC shopping now.

Your wheels would be better powder coated. Powder coating is harder than paint and withstands heat better. Look for a powder coating shop for autos or motorcycles. The cost per wheel is not as expensive as you might think.
If all the wheels are in the same condition,you'd be better to get them all done at once. To clean the rust yourself,by hand would be difficult.

The rust spot on the wing looks like it was painted over at some point and then the rust re-bubbled,unless that is sanding marks at the side instead of paint. You'll have to see how deep the damage is. If it is very thin,then it'll not last,eventually making a hole. If this is the case,a bodyshop can put a patch,welded part in for you.

Just be carefull when you're doing your cleaning/polishing,not to pick up any rust on your pad.

These are the pictures of the wash, scratchx, buff, then wash. It was getting too dark to get wax pics so I will post those later after I upload them.

After waxing. Not bad after bringing back a 10 year old beat up paint job!
