  • Water spots on sunroof.....

Washed the wifes Beemer yesterday and noticed alot of water spots on the glass. Have had the car a couple of months now and sure they were there before.

WHat is best product/method to use to get the water spots off the glass? Was thinking a vinegar solution like i did with the used aqaurium I got......??

I'd try that first, if not, then you might have to go with something acidic. I use MX-7 Plus for removing waterspots. It's quick and easy to use, but it is very strong, so you have to be cautious when working with it.

While a vinegar/water wash will often remove water spots, if they've been there for a while they have started to etch in a bit. But rather than jump into an acidic wash, try using Ultimate Compound instead. Sounds odd, we know, but our M04 Heavy Cut Cleaner has been used to great effect in this application, and UC seems to do an equally good job. No harsh chemicals to be cautious of either.

I have not tried the Ultimate Compound for removing water spots. But I can vouch for #4. It does a great job in removing them.

Never thought of using Ultimate Compound or #4 on glass before......I will have to try the UC since that is what I currently have.
