  • Question about ONR.

When using ONR, do you use a mircrofiber to wash, or a sponge/mitt? I have been using microfiber, but wonder if it causes me to use a tad more friction than a grout sponge would. Opinions?

Another vote for the microfiber mitt.

Alright so is my microfiber towel method ok? I stopped using MF wash mitts because I prefer the $2 grout sponges at Lowes (they work very well), so I assume it's safe to use the grout sponge rather than using a MF towel?

Try it out for a while and let us know . Worst case, you'll only have to use some M205 to polish out any damage that might occur through the use of the grout sponge.

I've tried several styles and the Meguiar's wash mitt is far and away my preferred mitt for a rinseless wash method.

A lot of people have been safely using Lowe's grout sponges with ONR. I have used it, too, though recently I have been using one of my Megs' microfiber wash mitts, reserving the grout sponge for the lower panels, at least for the initial pass. The nice thing about the grout sponge is that it releases dirt into the rinse water so easily. But I admit that using the mitt "feels" safer. ONR is voodoo, but it seems to work well.

Cool. Maybe I will just keep with my MF towel method. Works fine.

What I like about the grout sponges is that @ $1.98 per sponge, I can use them just a few times, then retire them to wheel well and tire only sponges.

I just tried your preferred rinseless wash method today, using Last Touch instead of ONR, and the results were just as you described. Per your recommendation, I used my Meguiars microfiber wash mitt with very satisfactory results. Thanks for the tip.
