New online Meguiars vendor - local to So Cal

Found out about this new online vendor based in south Orange County, Southern Cal at the last TNOG. Their brick and mortar store is located in Lake Forest, a stone's throw from Meguiars in Irvine. I visited their website and while ADS is still the standard bearer in this field, they have an impressive comprehensive offering of Meguiars products along with some other big names in the detailing world.

yeah these prices even beat ADS, not sure if the service will be up to ADS quality, but worth a try at those prices. Even the consumer line products have great prices.

But then, will you be paying it out when it comes to S&H? I just did a quick quote, with a gal of HD, and basic shipping was 15.53, 3 day select was 34.29, 2nd day was $53.75. Adding a G110 made basic shipping $21.91 and 3 day $49.80. And just for fun, I threw in a gal of APC and standard went to $29.40, and 3 day was $68.89. So looks like shipping can kill you quick.

Indeed.

But when it comes to car care supplies, I never order "just a few" or "just one" item, because shipping usually costs just as much as the items in a small order.

I make my orders large, and shipping usually ends up being around 15% or less, which works out just fine .

As it turns out, I'll be purchasing some supplies from Detailing.com, and the other half will still come from ADS. Rick @ ADS earned my repeat-business long ago .

Anyway, thanks for pointing out this alternative source of supplies, OP!

Shipping aside. it's just cool to know that there is a walk-in store just a few exits south of Meguiars on the I-5 that I can stop off at on my way to a TNOG to pick up a few professional line or detailer line items that were previously available to me only from online stores. I don't know if the in-store prices will be the same as the online, but I'll find out in a few weeks and report back.

I stopped by there today at lunch time and picked up a few items. They really do have a lot of Meguiars stuff and at good prices. Also a very helpful staff. Stop by and support a local SoCal vendor.

i stopped by there the other day and told em if they go to MOL. hopefully they register... they do stock alot of Meg's supplies. including the spray bottles for the detailer line.

Just gave them a call and confirmed that online prices are the same as the in-store prices. For us local guys, you can pre-order online and pick up your order to save shipping. It also ensures that your items will be on-hand if you order 6-7 days ahead of time.

I see they carry from Surf City Garage. Has anybody used any products from this brand? What did you use, and what did you think? Just curious. Always like trying something new!

this news is awesome! because of you finding about them, theyre gonna get crazy business now. GUARANTEED. i personally have only ordered from ADS, and will still give them service, but so will this new shop. ill take the 45 mile drive in my girlfriends car so the gas wont kill me in my truck and it will all be worth it
