  • colorX between polishing and nxt

If you apply a layer of colorx after polishing would you be potentially interfering with the oils from whatever polishing you used. I'm thinking of using a layer of colorX after polishing, before applying NXT. Is this a bad idea?

By "polishing" are you referring to a product such as M07, or more like SwirlX?

If you are referring to defect removing polishes then it would be totally fine to use ColorX after polishing and before NXT. If you meant a pure polish like M07, your ColorX will likely remove a good deal of the polish.

ColorX is great to be using before Nxt, or any other wax, but not the way you are thinking. Remember ColorX is a cleaner/wax. So you would want to go straight from ColorX to waxing. If you anything, you would just clay, and possibly use a stronger cleaning product before ColorX.

Otherwise, your process would look like this:
      1. Wash
      2. Clay
      3. Maybe clean
      4. Polish
      5. Clean - Polish- Wax
      6. Wax

As you can see, you would kind of be reapeating yourself.

yeah i have some m81 i was going to use which iirc is a pure polish, so i guess ill skip that this time. p.s. any idea why it's a bad idea to freeze nxt 2.0, cause i think my bottle may have gotten frozen over last winter in my trunk, i dont know if that will mess it up or if they just say that cause when full the bottle can explore or rupture when it expands.
